GIRLS OWN WEEKEND

We held the first Girls Own Weekend in 1998 and since then it has become an annual ‘must go to’ event. It is Australia’s original (and we think best) lesbian weekend and golf competition where you can Meet, Play, Party, Relax and Win! Even if you don’t play golf or tennis this is a great opportunity to get away from it all and spend time with a great bunch of gals and make a few new friends.

It’s almost always the first weekend in November and is traditionally held at beautiful Kangaroo Valley– just 2 hours drive south from Sydney.

I will definitely be going again next year

Hi Suzie & Veronica, I just wanted to thank you for a great weekend.

As a first timer who only knew two people I was a little nervous but from the time I got there on Friday I felt welcome and part of the group.

The whole weekend was well organized and as a golfer I loved the format and enjoyed both games and the company. I think I played the best golf I have played for a few years.

I will definitely be going again next year. (Too bad I have to wait 12 months)

The organisation mind-blowing!

Thank you to both you and Suzie for a fabulous weekend. It was terrific fun, and the organisation mind-blowing!

My only regret is that it has taken me this long to come to one! Now that I have won another weekend in KV, I will have to spruce up my golf game and give the fairways a twirl next time.

Women only tours of like minded people

I have had the pleasure over the last 15/20 years of experiencing Girls Own Adventures holidays to overseas locations. They have been both golf and adventure holidays. Places we have experienced for golf include New Zealand, Vietnam, Bali and Borneo, playing on some of the most memorable and wonderful courses.

Adventure holidays have included South America and Africa, which has to have been the best holiday I have ever experienced. We visited a number of different countries including Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya and saw the Great Migration, one of the experiences of a lifetime.

The trips are always well organised, and despite in some circumstances being in remote places I always felt quite safe and secure in the knowledge that these holidays were accompanied by the owners of the business and had been well researched and planned.

The cost I have always found to be reasonable and the fact that they are women only tours of like minded people are certainly a big plus factor.
